My Model; The Introduction

One might look at the title of this article, wondering what it's all about. I believe we all experience or relive specific characters in the Bible during times of joy, long-suffering, and achievements in our lifetimes. It might interest you to know that at each stage of your life, you are reenacting the life of a character in the Bible, and if you are wise, you can study them all to gain insight into your expected future. Do not quote me wrongly; it doesn't necessarily mean that your life has to end exactly as the model you choose to follow. I know that when you fight your battles the way our ancient characters fought theirs, you will certainly win just as they did.  For example, if we inquire from God before making any decision, as King David did before fighting most of his battles, we will win like David. 1 Samuel 30:8 ICB [8] Then David prayed to the Lord. He said, “Should I chase the people who took our families? Will I catch them?” The Lord answered, “Chase them. ...

My Model, Volume 2, Jesus Christ - The Perfect Model

Have you ever wondered why Jesus didn't follow His parents home immediately after the feast of Passover at the temple when He was just twelve years old? Have you also asked yourself why and how He survived for three days away from His family? Did you also ask yourself why He wasn't even scared that He might have lost His family? Did you ever ponder and wonder what a child would be discussing with Bible scholars that enticed them all, keeping them captivated?  Looking at Luke 2:41-51, I believe Jesus knew from a tender age that He was set apart for a great purpose, a purpose that would change the world forever. He knew He had to be prepared in the knowledge of God's word.  Luke 2:52 ICB :  Jesus continued to learn more and more and to grow physically. People liked Him, and He pleased God.  Let's dig deeper and discover how Jesus prepared for His purpose even from a tender age. Study  Ever wondered what a twelve-year-old knew from the scriptures that he was...

My Model, Volume 1 (Age Grade: 9-12 years). Jeremiah - The Obedient Prophet.

Jeremiah, one of the greatest prophets in Bible history, lived a passionate life, deeply consumed with the work that God handed to him. He was extremely obedient to the Lord, doing all that He instructed, even in life-threatening situations. I would love to narrate this story, not leaving out any enticing part of it, but first, permit me to take you to Jeremiah's first encounter with the Lord.  Jeremiah's Call .  It might interest you to know that Jeremiah wasn't an adult; just like you, reading this article, he was about seventeen when the Lord called him.  The Lord said;  Jeremiah 1:5 ICB [5] 'Before I made you in your mother’s womb, I chose you. Before you were born, I set you apart for a special work. I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.' Jeremiah was set apart by God to become a prophet, even before his birth. This is the same for everyone created by God; the Lord has set you apart for a good work. Yes, I'm talking to you, reading this article. Imm...

My Model , Volume 1 ( Age Grade 5-8 ) Jeremiah: The Obedient Prophet

Once upon a time in Bible history, there lived a young boy named Jeremiah. We were introduced to him when he had his first visitation from God at about age seventeen. The Lord told Him that before he was born He had made him a prophet, he was sanctified to become a mouth piece of God, someone who would tell the whole of Israel and others the mind of God. Jeremiah couldn't believe he was to do all of that and more, he couldn't believe he was to talk to kings and even other priests. He couldn't even believe that he would tell them what God wanted them to hear, good or bad. He felt he was too young. He pleaded with God, saying," Ah, I can not speak, I am too young". Then, the Lord insisted and told Jeremiah that he had anointed his mouth and given him every word he wants him to speak.  Prophet Jeremiah did all that the Lord wanted him to do, even at a very young age until he was old. He warned the Israelites of the dangers to come, he told them that if they don't...
